Westwood Cyber High School was founded in late 2008 and started enrolling students in February 2009. Our school operates from a seat-time waiver granted from the State of Michigan for Cyber School operation. We are fully funded by the State of Michigan as a Michigan Department of Education High School for At-Risk youth. We are a proud member of the Westwood Community School District, which is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
WCHS is a year-round, educational program offering constructive, project-based, online learning experiences for students. We offer options for students who are unable to attend traditional schools for a variety of reasons. We provide a safe and secure environment in which students are encouraged to succeed without the fear of failure. While at the learning lab, we can devote individualized attention, support an increase in student self-confidence, and provide a self-paced learning environment. While attending the learning lab, students can receive guidance from highly qualified, state certified teachers.
Westwood Cyber High School promotes 21st century skills including; collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.
