Westwood Cyber High School was founded in late 2008 and started enrolling students in February 2009. Our school operates from a seat-time waiver granted from the State of Michigan. We are a proud member of the Westwood Community School District, which is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
WCHS is an educational program offering constructive, project-based, online learning experiences for students. We offer options for students who do not wish to attend a traditional high school for a variety of reasons. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in comprehensive high school activities such as sports, homecoming, prom and graduation. We provide a safe and secure environment in which students are encouraged to succeed without the fear of failure. While at the learning lab, we can devote individualized attention, support an increase in student self-confidence, and provide a self-paced learning environment. While attending the learning lab, students can receive guidance from highly qualified, state certified teachers and tutors.
Westwood Cyber High School promotes 21st century skills including; collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.
